Skincare Review: Ellen Lange Retexturizing Skin Peel

Bringing the spa to your home, esthetician Ellen Lange, created the Retexturizing Skin Peel, promising to produce similar results to peels that you would get done by a professional. A combination of glycolic acid, enzymes, and natural microbeads, this at-home kit is for those who have busy lives but do not want their skin to suffer for it.

The kit includes an enzyme scrub, 60 glycolic pads, and a glycolic peel solution to exfoliate, even skin tone, and to target fine lines and wrinkles, dry patches, pore size, and breakouts. The kit also uses Ellen Lange’s SubSurfacing technology designed to integrate ingredients. The treatment is cruelty-free and is made without sodium lauryl sulfate, paraben, gluten, barley, and wheat.

I have done a few professionally-executed peels in my face. It has left my skin smooth, yes, so I was really interested to try an at-home peel treatment. I like that the kit has instructions that are simple, it matches the easy-to-use system and I didn’t have a hard time doing the treatment on my self.

I used this after Christmas, after all those nights out, and after all those holiday parties so my skin was primed for a treatment. I was expecting my face to feel raw and look red the first time but the treatment only left my skin looking rejuvenated and feeling silky smooth.

After a week of use, I can already attest to the exfoliating properties of the treatment. Two weeks in, I have noticed improvements on my texture and the tone of my skin. My skin looked and felt even, like I have a regular spa appointment. Even with my oily skin, though, this can feel a bit drying so the treatment is best followed with a hydrating moisturizer to calm the skin. After 28 days, my skin looks visibly smooth, soft, and bright. I recommend this to those looking to rejuvenate the complexion at the comfort of their own home.
