Skincare Review: BeautyRx Progressive Peel System Starter Kit and the Triple Vitamin C Serum

Since I have conquered my blemish journey for 2 years ago (thankfully only a few bumps here and there before I get my period), I have come to focus more on hydration, texture, and overall glow and BeautyRx offered to help.

The Progressive Peel system ($98) promises to slough away dead skin. The Advanced 10% Exfoliating Pads contain 50 cotton pads soaked in 10% strength glycolic acid, tetrafoliant (a special mix of lactic acid, salicylic acid, glycolic acid, and phytic acid only exclusive to the brand) to improve texture and tone, willowherb to soothe the skin, and japanese green tea extract to protect the skin against free radical damage. The Essential 8% Exfoliating Serum, on the other hand, is a glycolic treatment that also contains the Tetrafoliant to removes dead cells.

The serum was a joy to use. It’s almost waterlike and feels very lightweight. This is helped my oily skin and kept my face bright and hydrated the first of use. It has a clear and oil-free consistency. The pads were gentle and a good alternative to wash-off masks. When I started alternating the serum and the pads, the texture on my face lessened and it helped smooth and soften my skin. The pads and the serum is such a nice balance to keep me from exfoliating my skin too much as well.

The Triple Vitamin C Serum ($95) combines the three forms of Vitamin C and hyaluronic acid to improve brightness and tone, firm the skin, and hydrate. What I really like about this vitamin c serum is that it’s lightweight and not oily. I can easily use this in the morning without making my skin oily. I also like that it contains hyaluronic acid to hydrate my skin.

I use the Triple Vitamin C Serum in conjunction with the Progressive Peel and these products helped smooth, soften, and brighten my skin without drying it or making it prone to dehydration.
