Oral Care: Linhart NYC Linämel Toothpaste, Nano-Silver Toothbrush, and Lip Balm SPF 15

Really paying attention to selfcare and part of my routine the past weeks include these dental products from Linhart.

Linhart offers a line of oral care products based on 10 years of development, 40 years of dental experience, and almost 100 years of expertise. That’s a mouthful and I had high expectations.

They sent an oral kit composed of toothpaste, toothbrush, tooth whitener gel, and a lip balm. I didn’t use the Tooth Whitener Gel as I am not planning on whitening my tooth.

Their Toothpaste contains aloe vera and Linämel (theobromine, fluoride, and xylitol) for enamel protection. I found the consistency of this one weird at first because even though it looks like your normal toothpaste, it has a runnier consistency. What I noticed though is this taste a bit sweeter than most kinds of toothpaste. It feels cleansing and, together with the Nano-Silver Toothbrush they sent, which promises to kill 99% of harmful bacteria, there wasn’t much of a difference than doing my old teeth care routine. I loved the toothbrush because the fine bristles are right up my alley, hard and tactile.

The Lip Balm SPF 15 claims to be formulated with plant oils that mimic the skin’s natural oils to keep the lips healthy and moisturized. I have one in Vanilla Mint and I like that it feels lightweight on the lips. I like applying this right after brushing my teeth so, by the time I put one my matte lip color, it won’t feel as drying. Of course, the SPF 15 is a welcome addition along with the fragrant smell and the balm’s moisturizing benefits.

Skincare Review: Revolution Skincare Rose and Chamomile Serum and Green Tea and Collagen Serum

Sharing with you these shimmering serums from Revolution Skincare. I mean, they are literally glistening. They are so mesmerizing to look at. They are just too cute.

The shimmering pink serum is the Rose & Chamomile Serum to give radiance to the skin while soothing and calming it. The green-tinged serum, on the other hand, is the Green Tea & Collagen Serum aims to hydrate and plump the skin.

I thought for sure these would feel heavy on my skin but they didn’t. Both serums are light and watery and they sink in quickly into the skin. I use the pink one at night after masking and the green one in the morning before makeup. The Rose & Chamomile Serum one feels soothing and the Green Tea & Collagen Serum leaves my skin plump and dewy. They both feel hydrating and a bit nourishing to the skin. I honestly have no problems with the serums and thankfully, the shimmer didn’t make my skin look greasy. For the price of $14 each, these serums are worth checking out. For me, they are more of a support to my skin if I’m looking to plump or soothe it.

They can also be used with the Rose Quartz Roller to help calm the skin and the Jade Roller, which claims to lift the skin.

Selfcare Review: Scilla Rose Amethyst Face Roller and Rose Quartz Roller and Gua Sha Beauty Set

Did some face massage using the Amethyst Face Roller from Scilla Rose before doing my makeup. I have constantly been reaching for this lately because it’s my first time using an amethyst face roller.

Amethysts are known to detoxify, purify the mind, tighten pores, improve the elasticity of the skin, reduce dark circles under eyes, and promote lymphatic drainage. The roller is double-sided and feels relaxing on the skin. It’s a tad bit heavier than the other face rollers I’ve tried but it’s equally soothing.

They also sent their Rose Quartz Roller and Gua Sha Beauty Set. Rose Quartz is known to help eliminate toxins, reduce puffiness, roll out wrinkle and expression lines, brighten, improve elasticity, relieve stress, promote lymphatic drainage, reduce dark circles, soothe inflammation, and improve blood circulation.

I like using the smaller end of the rollers around my eyes. I can go one day without doing a face massage but I can’t without massaging my eye area. It just relaxes me instantly. It’s a form of relaxation that instantly affects my mind, which I badly need at the end of each day. I use the guasha on my jawline or at my temples to help relieve my tension headaches and I use the rollers to help with puffiness in the morning or to do a full-on face massage at night after doing my skincare routine.

These tools are just really helpful for me when it comes to relaxation and stress.

Selfcare Review: S & Co Luxury Silk Pillowcase, Eye Mask, and Hair Srunchie

I love to sleep. I really do. Not in the I’m-happy-I-got-8-hours-today way. I’m more of an I-would-sacrifice-human-interaction-to-get-sleep kind of person. I’m at that level where my bedroom has dark paint, blackout curtains, and my bed and pillows are the most expensive things in my house. I usually just have a cotton sheet but it would be in bad taste if I don’t try silk.

S and Co Luxury Silk sent over their products, which uses 19-30 momme mulberry silk, and promises luxury silk that promises to help reduce redness, limit puffiness, give crease-free skin.

I have the Silk Pillowcase in Champagne, 19 Momme, which feels so soft and smooth. I’m not even kidding, it feels really relaxing to lay my head on something this soft. I also have the Silk Eye Mask in Gold, which aims to help avoid premature wrinkle formation. This is not my first Silk Eye Mask and I have experienced and enjoy having silk over my eyes as I sleep. What sets this apart, though, is the actual fabric feels heavier and yet softer than the others.

They also sent some scrunchies, made with 22 momme silk for tangle-free hair. Granted, these products are luxurious but what I noticed after using them for about a month is how, I don’t loose that much hair. My hair also doesn’t tangle and they also feel softer. My skin also looked more together, probably because of all the good sleep I’ve been having.

Brand Overview: My Mood

I’m a sucker for cute packaging. That’s how I came across My Mood. Founded by Thea Green, the brains behind Nails Inc and Incredible Cosmetics, My Mood is the adorable little sister filled with cute things you take to sleep, to bed, and to school.

They offer bath bolts – the Muscle Hustler Bath Bolt to chill with sage, rosemary, and seaweed and the Get Up Show Up Bath Bolt to wake up with scents of cardamom, black pepper, and sandalwood. For those running low on mental and physical health come Friday, the I’m Like 104% Tired Just Chill Bath Bolt is a good treat to relax, containing lavender and orange peel.

To top that off, the I’m Like 104% Tired Switch Off Sleep Spray can be a nightstand buddy. It’s a gentle, calming essential oil spray that mixes lavender, poppyseed, and valerian to fight away nervous vibes and alleviate tension, to help you relax. Just spray on some of the oil before bedtime, to get the full effect. My first impression was that it smelled like massage oil, which was perfect for relaxing after a busy day. The sweet lavender scent was nice, but it didn’t last too long. The light scent of the spray was too light to leave a lasting effect and seemed to fade away after a few minutes. Maybe those with a preference for softer fragrance notes would enjoy this, but those who want a stronger scent may find it too mild to be effective.

For the lips, the Smoothing On Jelly Lip Balm I’m Shook PH Pink feels moisturizing and hydrating on the lips. It has pinkish tint that looks so natural.

The Smoothing On Jelly Lip Balm I Eat Rainbows For Breakfast Glittery Pink has a pinkish-red tint when applied on the lips.

The Smile Everyday Smoothing Lip Balm Hustle On Iridescent, on the other hand, smells like candy and offer a light sheen to the lips.

I like putting this on top of matte lip colors to add some shine. I love that they all don’t feel heavy on the lips but I wish they were more moisturizing.
